Both the software are free and can be easily set up for streaming with great performance, and are trusted by the majority of streamers around the world. The choice between OBS and Streamlabs OBS boils down to your use case and your streaming content. Thing is they are so close to each other right now that I don’t see any real reason to swap to slobs over obs yet. SLOBS: The Best Choice for Streaming Software. To be more specific, OBS Studio is compatible with Windows 8 and later versions, macOS 10.13 and later, as well as Linux. I didn’t really notice much of a resource difference between the two - but I have a pretty beastly pc so I didn’t expect to though slobs does claim to be more optimized. ![]() My experience was thus: 99% of tutorials online are geared towards obs - and though slobs is pretty much a reskin of obs - there are some subtle differences that can create problems once you’re comfortable with the basic and want to have more control in the advanced settings. I tried slobs first because friends who streamed were super hyped about it at the start of the year.
